Start Your Day with Sweet Pancakes


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (plus more for cooking)
  • Optional toppings: maple syrup, fresh fruits, chocolate chips, etc.

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. It's okay if there are a few lumps.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter to the skillet as needed.
  7. Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings like maple syrup, fresh fruits, or chocolate chips.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces (225 grams) spaghetti noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 ounces or 400 grams) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Optional toppings: grated Parmesan cheese, fresh basil leaves

Instructions:

  1. Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite). Drain the cooked noodles and set aside.
  2. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden.
  3. Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to combine.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Once the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency, add the cooked spaghetti noodles to the pan and toss them gently in the sauce until well coated.
  6. Remove the pan from heat and let the spaghetti rest for a minute to absorb some of the flavors.

  • 2 tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a large pan or karahi on medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they are lightly browned on all sides.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes, green chilies, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.
  6. Cover the pan and let the chicken cook on medium-low heat for about 15-20 minutes or until it is tender and cooked through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  7. Once the chicken is cooked, uncover the pan and increase the heat to medium-high. Cook for a few minutes to reduce the liquid and thicken the gravy.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala over the chicken karahi and give it a final stir.
  9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.
